Property Event Raises Funds For Charity

Kent’s newest property search business, X-Press Legal Services has showcased its commitment to the community by using its first business event to fundraise for a local charity.

X-Press Legal Services hosted its inaugural Continuing Professional Development (CPD) event for conveyancers across the county at Camden Place.  The event enabled Lee Colmer, owner of X-Press Legal Services Kent to showcase the local expertise X-Press provides to conveyancing professionals, while also giving back to the local community.

All proceeds from tickets purchased for the event are being donated to Ellenor, a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley.  The charity relies on donations from the local community and needs to raise £7 million per year to continue its support of patients and their families across Kent.

“Having worked in Kent for many years, Ellenor’s high street shops are something very familiar to me.  The charity immediately sprung to mind when I decided I wanted my business to be socially responsible,” commented Lee Colmer, owner of X-Press Legal Services Kent.  “Alongside hospice care, Ellenor provides a lot of therapy sessions, counselling and community events.  Its services are something we all hope never to need but it’s vital that as a community we work collectively to keep the charity funded.

“My first CPD event provided the ideal opportunity to start fundraising for Ellenor and I was delighted that attendees responded so positively to my endeavour.  The legal sector in Kent is very supportive of the local community and I’m incredibly proud to be working within it.”

Demand for conveyancing services across Kent remains high with transactions expected to peak mid-summer thanks to the reintroduction of 100 per cent mortgages. Lee’s Kent based office supports local solicitors and conveyancers by providing property searches and professional reports required as part of the property transaction process.  Working within 15 local council areas including Dartford, Bromley, Croydon, Sevenoaks, Maidstone and Folkestone, Lee is keeping the local property sector moving.

X-Press Legal Services offers a comprehensive range of property searches producing the reports required for all property transactions such as flood risks, planning and environmental.  The forward-thinking company is also constantly investing in new digital products to meet changes within the legal and property sectors.
