Azets, the UK’s largest regional accountancy and business advisor to SMEs, has named a new Partner and promoted two colleagues to Director at its Maidstone office.
The top 10 accountancy firm puts the strategic changes down to continued business growth across its Kent region.
Tax specialist Adam Lacchin, who has been promoted to Partner, joined Azets in January 2020, having previously worked at two Kent accountancy firms. He is dual qualified with both ACCA and CIOT memberships.
He works with a mix of clients, ranging from individuals requiring personal tax returns, through to large multinational businesses and groups. His main focus is tax planning for small and medium sized businesses and their owners.
Adam is experienced in dealing with taxes relating to property investments, research and development (R&D) tax credits, employee share schemes, tax due diligence on business acquisitions and business succession planning.
Two senior managers in the Maidstone office have been promoted to Director.
Kathleen Browning, promoted to Director, joined Azets in the Maidstone office in October 2021 as Senior Manager after two decades’ accountancy experience with other firms.
Sarah Jennings, who has been promoted to Audit Director, joined Azets in the Maidstone office in October 2016 as Client Manager, she became Senior Client Manager in 2018 and Senior Manager in 2020.
Azets, which has Kent offices in Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Sandwich and Orpington has also named a new Partner and Director at its Ashford base.
Katie Hodson, who has been promoted to Partner from Director of Accounts and Business Services, joined the firm’s Ashford office in 2005 as an apprentice and qualified under ACCA in 2009.
She offers a wide range of taxation, accounting and advisory services, working closely with clients, which range from owner managed business and SMEs to sole traders and partnerships across a range of sectors.
Christiaan De Lange, promoted to Director, joined Azets in February 2018 as Audit and Accounts Manager. His roles include covering corporate financial reporting, charities and academies financial reporting, statutory audit and assurance, and corporate finance engagements including due diligence and business valuations.
Also in Kent, Hayley Hicks, who started with the firm as a trainee in 2016 before being made an Assistant Manager in April 2020, has been promoted to Director in the Orpington office.
Her portfolio consists of small/medium sized companies, partnerships and sole traders, assisting with but not limited to year end accounts preparation, VAT returns, CIS returns and general advice.
