Dartford businessman Lee Colmer has opened a new office of property search company, X-Press Legal Services in Kent.
Demand for conveyancing services in the region remains high with transactions expected to peak this summer thanks to the reintroduction of 100 per cent mortgages.
Lee’s Kent office will support local solicitors and conveyancers by providing property searches and professional reports required as part of the property transaction process. Working within 15 local council areas including Dartford, Bromley, Croydon, Sevenoaks, Maidstone and Folkestone, Lee is looking forward to keeping the local property sector moving.
With a degree from the University of Canterbury and previous career as a Barristers’ Clerk, Lee, aged 48, brings an in-depth knowledge of the legal profession to his new venture. His corporate acumen led to him recognising the need for X-Press Legal Services in Kent and he is keen to support the local conveyancing community:
“I’m delighted to be bringing X-Press Legal Services to Kent at an incredibly exciting time for the property market,” commented Lee. “It’s great that the conveyancing sector is so busy right now, and I’m incredibly focussed on helping our clients, ensuring their clients’ data requirements are processed as swiftly and smoothly as possible.
“There is no substitute for local expertise and, having been a part of the local business community here for many years, I am a familiar face on the professional scene. Several local firms have already welcomed my services and I am looking forward to meeting more local conveyancers and growing the business further over the coming months.”
X-Press Legal Services offers a comprehensive range of property searches producing the reports required for all property transactions such as flood risks, planning and environmental. The forward-thinking company is also constantly investing in new digital products to meet changes within the legal and property sectors.
Keen to maintain his presence within the local business community, Lee will also be running free CPD events for conveyancing professionals in the region. Next month he will be joined by legal expert Stephen Desmond to deliver an expert session on Hot Topics in Residential Leasehold Conveyancing, including Building Safety.
“Sharing knowledge and best practice is something I’m particularly passionate about,” added Lee. “Equally, I know that while digital communication is central to our working lives, clients really appreciate the opportunity to meet and talk face-to-face about their conveyancing challenges. I’m really looking forward to spending time with law firms and conveyancers in the local area and becoming an asset they can rely on for accurate property searches and reports.”
