New Kent specialist holiday lettings business, Bloom Stays, launches today, defying industry woes to champion excellent service for both customers and property owners

The UK holiday lettings scene has a new player today with the launch of Bloom Stays, which specialises in Kent based holidays. Their website launches today at www.bloomstays.com.

Founded by Rowena Owen and Nicky Russon, both formerly of Mulberry Cottages, Bloom Stays has already attracted over 50 properties on to its books geographically spread throughout Kent.

Rowena and Nicky, who met when they both worked at Mulberry Cottages, have set up Bloom Stays to restore excellent and highly personalised service to the holiday lettings industry reeling from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the travel lockdown and confusion surrounding holiday-makers’ rights. It has already attracted attention from disaffected owners –and customers – who feel left behind by other holiday lettings companies with eyes only for their web based sales.

Rowena said “Bloom Stays will stand out from the crowd because Nicky and I put excellent service at the heart of this holiday business for both owners and holiday makers. Our guests are asking for the human touch when it comes to bookings and our owners are looking for cool heads and a deep understanding of the market. We’ve got both of those covered and keeping it local to our home patch in the ‘Garden of England’ ensures we can offer an all-round service.”

Nicky added “Clearly current circumstances surrounding the ‘rule of six’ impose restrictions on our owners’ businesses that, while understandable, aren’t ideal. However throughout 2020 we have been working closely with our owners to ensure their properties and bookings are protected as far as possible and for us, that care and attention puts us head and shoulders about the competition. We know our patch here in Kent and we want to build a business that delivers for guests and owners alike.”

Rowena and Nicky’s infectious enthusiasm for making self-catering holidays delightful has been tried and tested by the Covid-19 pandemic, but has overcome many challenges. Already they have found accommodation for holiday makers whose holiday lets were double booked; they’ve helped Border force professionals in need of additional office and accommodation space at short notice and match-made London based families with accommodation in the Kent countryside so they can continue to work from home over lockdown.
