Mark Gosden joins leadership team to strengthen security and enable continued growth
Cantium Business Solutions, a specialist provider of HR, IT and finance solutions, today announces that it has appointed Mark Gosden as Chief Information Security Officer.
Gosden brings over 20 years of experience to his new role at Cantium, where he will oversee and guide the cyber security strategy as well as leading operations and supporting the delivering of cyber security solutions to customers. He will also hold responsibility for identifying, evaluating and reporting information and cyber security risk across the organisation.
With a track record of building and leading cyber security programs for large organisations, Gosden will help shape Cantium’s cyber transformation programme and strengthen controls and organisational security culture to mitigate threats. Prior to joining Cantium, he served as head of colleague and security operations for Hastings Direct, where he was responsible for the cyber security strategy and built critical IT and security programmes from the ground up.
“Today, cybersecurity is something that impacts everybody in one way or another, be it in your personal or professional life,” Mark Gosden comments. “I look forward to guiding Cantium’s cyber security strategy and working with colleagues and customers to maintain the integrity of the services on offer, and enable strong business outcomes.”
Mark Scott, CEO of Cantium Business Solutions adds: “Mark brings tremendous experience and technical talent to his role. He understands the challenges of today’s sophisticated threat landscape and we’re thrilled to have him join the leadership team. His skills will enable us to build our security posture, educate and advise customers, and his knowledge will be valuable as we continue to scale our business, making cyber part of the everyday conversation for us and our clients.”
“One of the big challenges that security leaders face is a lack of support from the leaders of an organisation. However, it was clear to me from the very first conversation I had with Mark Scott that he and the executive team are committed to driving continual improvement in cyber security,” Gosden concludes.
