Kent-based Thanet Crane Hire has announced new developments for the business following last year’s £2m investment programme and relocation to a new depot in Headcorn.
A further £30,000 is earmarked for staff development in 2023, with the company continuing its policy of offering training and career options to people without previous industry experience. The TCH team includes crane operators, lift supervisors, HGV drivers, a mechanic and office staff.
The company is continually updating its fleet of modern mobile cranes. Recent additions include a Liebherr LTM 10140 2.1 with VarioBase, a Grove GMK 3060L and another Bocker AK 46/6000.
A brand-new Mercedes Arocs truck with a FASSI 36.5t crane has recently joined the refreshed transport fleet. This new crane-assisted lorry is ADR compliant for transporting hazardous or dangerous goods. Thanet Crane Hire’s transport services is available locally and nationwide, including the London Low Emissions Zone.

We are committed to investing back into the business and development and career progression for our excellent team. Our people have always been our strength. We have also recently opened a new satellite location near Herne Bay so we can better serve our North Kent customers.”
Thanet Crane Hire has also announced its recent registration to the internationally recognised quality standard ISO 9001 with a UKAS accredited body. Jack continued; “Achieving ISO 9001 shows that our customers can rely on us to provide consistently high-quality services, thanks to our robust background management systems.”
