Vertex Law’s Jo Owen has been labelled a leader of the future after picking up a trophy at a legal sector awards ceremony.
The Kings Hill firm’s Chief Information Officer took home the title of Future Leader at TheKnowList’s 2013 awards ceremony, held in London.
Jo, 33, from Brixton, whose job role includes driving the business strategy and providing innovative IT solutions to continually improve the operational function of the business, was shortlisted for the award after completing an in-depth submission process, followed by a presentation to a highly acclaimed judging panel.
Speaking of the moment her name was read out as Future Leader award winner, Jo said:
“I was completely elated although I also couldn’t quite believe it. I was delighted to have won this award on behalf of Vertex Law as I feel it shows that we can more than hold our own against other big names in the UK legal industry.”
Pete Kenyon, Member at Vertex Law, said:
“We were over the moon for Jo and her award success and the title that she won comes as no surprise to us all at Vertex Law. The Future Leader award is given to a legal sector professional who demonstrates the most potential for excellence as a leader of the future, and Jo has this potential in abundance.
“This is a huge achievement and is thoroughly deserved as a reward for Jo’s many years of tireless hard work, commitment and energy. Vertex Law has always understood the importance of technology in helping to provide an efficient service to our clients and Jo has been an integral part of that process.”
