Local business collaboration group celebrates 3 years of support for Business Women in Kent
Leading business women gathered this month to mark the third birthday of local collaboration group Metis Women to highlight the achievements of the group and its members.
Metis Women is an award-winning collaboration group for business women which was initially launched in Faversham in November 2013. Set-up by a group of serial networkers who wanted more than just the usual networking to provide a focus on development and collaboration.
Its popularity quickly soared, such that the founders were keen to reach all women throughout the county who have set up their own businesses, or are thinking about doing so and are yet to take that first step. Now several additional groups take place in three key locations monthly across Kent in Faversham, Maidstone and Ashford.
This third year has been particularly notable due to winning Women’s Champion at the Kent Women in Business Awards, launching their third Mastermind Group and running a successful Workshop series in key business skills.

New guests are always welcome to give people a taster of what the meetings are like. By listening to the Learn Sessions to develop themselves and their businesses, and experiencing members’ inspiring stories, the group hope to encourage women that are thinking about setting up their own business or building on their current skills.
