Kent-based Metro Mechanical Services has acquired six new tankers to accelerate growth with the support of a six-figure funding package from HSBC Equipment Finance UK.

Headquartered in Gravesend, Metro Mechanical Services is a national contractor providing drainage, plumbing and pump services to customers across the commercial and industrial property sectors.

With a fleet of 25 tankers and 60 vans, the hire-purchase facility from HSBC UK has enabled the acquisition of a further six new Jet-Vacuum Tankers which will offer greater flexibility and availability to customers and enable the company to continue to grow and develop the planned maintenance arm of the business.

Nico Gaisman, Managing Director at Metro Mechanical Services, commented: “The last 18-months have brought a lot of change for our clients and commercial property managers have been looking hard at their supply chains. The facility from HSBC UK has allowed us to take a proactive and positive approach to supporting customers as they reopen and prepare for the further easing of restrictions.”

Lisa Chance, HSBC Equipment Finance UK Regional Manager, said: “This facility puts Metro Mechanical in the best possible position to sustain a return to normal trading in line with the lifting of restrictions for its customers. It’s great to see the business taking positive steps as it eyes future growth.”

Metro Mechanical Services is headquartered in Gravesend, with satellite hubs in Manchester, Bristol, Leeds and the East Midlands.
