Air conditioning specialist Coolair Equipment Ltd has boosted its growing operation in Kent with the appointment of Matthew Gower as Sales & Design Engineer.
Based at Coolair’s offices on Ashford Road in Maidstone, the former apprentice has more than 20 years’ experience in the mechanical services industry across the South East.
Matthew, from Pembury near Royal Tunbridge Wells, was previously a mechanical projects manager for a local commercial plumbing, heating, air conditioning and solar installations contractor.
His project credits include managing installations for Tonbridge School’s new science block extension, Brook House Primary School in Tottenham, the Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) department at Charing Cross Hospital, and Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
Fully qualified in energy efficient refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and domestic hot water systems, Matthew is already tendering for three projects with a total value of more than £1 million.
Mark Garstang, Regional Director of Coolair Equipment Ltd, which also has offices in Manchester and the Midlands, said: “Matthew’s experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our successful client base and strengthen our capacity for project design and tendering.”
The Maidstone office of Coolair last year carried out the refurbishment of the air conditioning systems for the historic Sheraton Grand London Park Lane.
Coolair specialises in the design and installation of tailored cooling and heating systems for architects, developers and contractors in the retail, residential, commercial, education and hotel sectors. It was recently awarded Cyber Essentials Plus certification, confirming that its information systems provide the highest form of security against cyber threats.
