From parks to museums, you can find the perfect days out in your area with the knowledge of their covid measures.
As the first lockdown eased, Stephen Ibbotson, a web developer and user experience manager, and his wife Rebecca, a primary school teacher, wanted to take their kids (aged 2 and 4) out on walks and to the countryside to give them great days out. The trouble was that it was hard to find things to do as most websites focused on venues and going through blogs was time consuming. Most sites that they came across had a wealth of information to search through before finding the key information they needed. This triggered the idea to create something visual and easy to navigate, with just the key information. The main aim was to offer parents a quick way to find the perfect day out, while taking the stress away from thinking about safety while there, and what’s more venues are added by other parents.
“Excellent idea, excellent website, easy to find venues by activity! Also love the idea of the things to do during “lockdown” section, that’s superb!”

Since launch on the 3rd of November, there are over 1000 venues around the UK and the number continues to grow each day. The website has also expanded to help small businesses sell kids products by launching a ‘Kiddies Market’ with the main aim of supporting the small local businesses through these hard times.
Kiddies Day Out is a parent to parent network, where the community can help others by reviewing or adding a venue so others can find the perfect day out, and what’s more, it’s all totally free for parents to use.
