ASB-LAW-LOGOInnovative legal and consultancy firm, asb law LLP, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Stevens, former Head of Global Litigation at global IT company, Atos.

Jonathan is the third former GC appointed by asb law in the last year, demonstrating the firm’s continued commitment to developing genuine insight into client perspectives and bridging the gap between law and business. Earlier this year, asb law appointed Alistair Maclean, the Football Association’s former Group Legal Director and Company Secretary, to strengthen asb law’s legal management and consultancy offering to GCs, asb consult, and, in 2015, Clarissa de Jager, a former legal director at Royal Mail Group whose career spans 20 years in private and corporate practice, joined the firm to focus on enhancing service delivery.

Jonathan, who is dual qualified as a solicitor and New York attorney, will lead asb law’s established dispute resolution team, and brings with him a wealth of experience and insight, having been Head of Global Litigation for over 10 years at Atos where he was responsible for the management and supervision of an extensive portfolio of litigation across 66 countries, and latterly Head of Legal Risk.

With prior roles including at KPMG and a partner in private practice, Jonathan has over 30 years of specialist litigation experience.  He has been a regular speaker at legal conferences on matters related to litigation, dispute resolution and risk.  He is an expert in risk mapping and sat on the Legal Week litigation and arbitration advisory board and the PLC litigation and risk and advisory board.

Jonathan’s pedigree in risk and litigation will prove useful in supporting the firm’s focus on delivering improved legal services that are truly aligned to the needs of clients. His expertise will be invaluable in supporting asb’s corporate counsel legal management and consultancy services where Jonathan’s  broad and high level experience may be pertinent to GCs implementing effective litigation and risk management frameworks.

Jonathan is enthusiastic about joining asb law, stating, “Having dealt with numerous law firms over the years, I joined asb law because of their unique and innovative business offerings which provide a compelling alternative choice in the market”.

Managing Partner, Andrew Clinton said, “We are designing our firm around the needs of our target clients so it makes perfect sense to employ people who have purchased legal services for many years in helping us to deliver our services.”

“We are thrilled that Jonathan has joined us. We’re confident that Jonathan’s broad and extensive experience in relation to litigation provides us with an inspirational mentor to our own dispute resolution team but also offers useful knowledge in support of our dedicated legal management consultancy team of acknowledged industry professionals.”

asb law has been applying creative techniques and methodologies in delivering legal services for several years and its efforts have been recognised recently by a number of industry commentators: Andrew Clinton featured in the management category of this year’s The Lawyer Hot 100 list, and the firm’s commitment to innovation was noted with nominations for various awards, including the Managing Partner Forum Awards.
