Abi Ireland, who started her company Wine Tours of Kent one year ago taking a leap of faith, to turn her passion into a business has won two Kent Women in Business Awards. This glamorous black-tie event was held at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel on Friday 6th March.
The owner-operator and mum was overwhelmed to win both “Entrepreneur” and “Mumpreneur” of the year in front of 340 attendees.
This was the eighth year of the Kent Women in Business Awards which recognises inspirational and successful women in business across Kent and was aptly held two days before International Women’s Day.
Abi said “I cannot explain how overjoyed I am to have received these awards. I absolutely love meeting new people and creating memorable days out in the Kent vineyards for my wonderful customers. Here’s to the next year being as fun as the last. A huge well done to all of the finalists, what a great evening it was!”
Wine Tours of Kent offer guided tours exploring the Kent countryside to discover some of England’s award-winning Vineyards and wineries. They offer Wine Tours to cater for the curious right up to wine buffs alike. Tours include Transport, Vineyard and Winery tours, tutored wine tastings and lunch.
Abi and Wine Tours of Kent are excited to announce the launch for their exclusive luxury three-night wine retreat – the first of which takes place this May bank holiday. The weekend will be focussed around tasting the local Kent wines and local produce along with meeting the winemakers.
Guests can relax in the beautiful retreat of Heritage Holiday Cottages in Smarden in one of their five luxurious double bedrooms. A guest chef will cook and prepare dinner with locally sourced ingredients from the gardens of the cottage.
