Chocolate entrepreneur, Steve Rehmat Victor, who launched his business, My Chocolate Shop, during the first national lockdown, has secured £40K from BBC Dragons’ Den investor, Sara Davies to help him expand his business.
Steve, who appeared on the show on 23rd March, enticed Sara with his unique commercial approach to creating bespoke, branded products for celebrities, creators and sportspeople, as well as his pioneering ranges for the growing Muslim product marketplace.
No stranger to launching profitable business ventures throughout the years, Steve has always been a huge fan of Dragons’ Den, vowing to apply to appear on the show when the time felt right for him. When he realised he was onto something big with My Chocolate Shop, he set out to secure investment from the inspirational Sara Davies to propel his brand to the next level.
Steve Says: ”I’m thrilled to have Sara on board. Having read her book and studied her impressive track record, I knew that working with her would be an incredible opportunity. Despite having many years of experience in public speaking, going into the Dragons’ Den was extremely nerve-wracking. I felt like a rabbit in the headlights. However, I’d watched and rewatched previous shows, made sure I was well prepared and came out with a result I couldn’t be happier with.”
Sara Davies adds: Sara Davies adds: “I was impressed with Steve’s ability to come up with ideas that are commercially brilliant. Everybody loves great quality chocolate, and My Chocolate Shop pulls out all the stops to make sure it’s accessible to everyone. I can’t wait to see what Steve and his team does next!”
Sara invested £40K for a 30% share of the business.
