Park Holidays UK, one of the country’s largest holiday park operators, has continued its expansion plans with the acquisition of the Martello Beach Holiday Park, near Eastbourne.
The park, which is being renamed as Pevensey Bay Holiday Park, is the 28th in the group and the sixth located in Sussex.
This is the second acquisition that South East law firm Cripps has advised Park Holidays on since the operator was purchased by Intermediate Capital Group Plc, earlier this year.
James Beatton, head of the corporate team at Cripps, led on both of the deals. He said: “Having advised Park Holidays since 2015, we are well placed to support them on their overall business expansion strategy which is to grow by a combination of acquiring new sites together with improving and increasing the capacity of its existing sites. The recent acquisition of the Pevensey Bay Holiday Park – together with the previous purchase of Carlton Meres Country Park – is a positive step towards realising these plans.”
The team at Cripps also included Lowri Jones, Nick Baldock, Oliver Copp and Chris Hovenden.
Al Loch, Chief Financial Officer of Park Holidays UK, which is headquartered in Bexhill-on-Sea, commented: “We are delighted to have become the new owners of this popular park set adjacent to the beach near Eastbourne. Despite working to a really tight deadline, Cripps made sure we stayed on target. It was a big advantage having worked with them before as they thoroughly understand the culture of our business and what our longer term growth strategy is.”
Cripps has offices in Tunbridge Wells, London and Kings Hill.
