A brand new autocentre has started the ignition as mechanics gear up for the opening of a branch in Tonbridge, Kent.
A new Formula One Autocentre, which opened its doors at Tonbridge Trade Park at the start of November, will be bringing in a raft of new jobs to the local economy.
Bosses of the family owned company, say they are excited to be able to bring the branch to the area after months of planning.
The Ingot Way site opened on Thursday, 3rd November and will be the firm’s 133rd across the UK, and has been purpose built in the town.
Simon Jennings, Digital Director at Formula One Autocentres, said: “We are thrilled to be able to open this site in Tonbridge, Kent and the demand for our services just shows how important it is to have high quality services for tyre, MOT and car servicing provided in Tonbridge and its surrounding areas of Upper Hayesdone, Hildenborough and Golden Green.
“This is a great boost to local employment, and we have invested heavily into creating this garage. For us to be able to create jobs in the area and employ so many talented mechanics and back-office staff, is something we are really proud to be able to do.’’

The family-owned company has been running since 1969, offering a full range of services including tyres, exhausts, batteries, brakes, clutches, MOT’s and Servicing. The new garage for motorists is open 7 days a week, with opening hours of 8.30am – 6pm Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am until 5pm Saturdays and 10am – 4pm on Sundays.
