MILLWOOD HOMES BUILDS ON SUCCESS

cripps-harries-hall-kentAward-winning Millwood Designer Homes Ltd is set for further growth after attracting a £10m investment in a deal managed by law firm Cripps.

The Tonbridge-based housebuilder specialises in high quality, individually designed homes and will use the money to accelerate its housebuilding programme across Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

Cripps’ Katie Haylock, who worked on the transaction with colleague Phil Cunningham, said: “it was a complex deal involving a large London-based property investment company with some £3bn in assets. Its successful completion provides Millwood with the resources to unlock the potential of a large number of its development sites across the South East.”

Managing Director John Elliott said: “The housing market is robust in the South East and there is strong demand for good quality new homes.

“The industry is building homes at the fastest rate for a decade. There is still a long way to go before we meet the current shortfall but we are confident there will be an ever greater requirement for the homes Millwood provides – well-built, energy-efficient, attractive housing that will stand the test of time.

“The £10m we have received with help from our longstanding legal advisers Cripps will enable us to bring forward a greater number of sites over the next four years, with knock-on benefits for homebuyers and the local economy.”

Millwood’s projects, which are renowned for reflecting the architectural heritage of their settings, have won numerous accolades, most recently an Evening Standard 2014 New Homes Award In the best family home category.
