MANDY SWITCHED ON TO CUSTOMERS BENEFITS OF LED

Mandy-Darbon-8point3Dartford-based 8point3 has boosted its customer care team with the appointment of Mandy Darbon.

Mandy, 48, from Hartley, joins 8point3 as Customer Projects Co-ordinator having previously worked in product development at BT and latterly as a teaching assistant at Milestone Academy, a school for students with profound, severe and complex needs at New Ash Green.

She will work with the team at 8point3 to ensure that its fast growing network of industrial and commercial clients make the most of the energy and cost saving benefits of the company’s bespoke LED lighting systems.

“LED lighting makes absolute sense for businesses that are looking to save on costs, from both energy consumption and maintenance,” said Mandy. “8point3 already has an impressive list of clients, and with more and more significant organisations in the public and private sector waking up to the benefits of the technology, it is a really exciting place to be working.”

Away from work, Mandy, who has a daughter, Lucy, 19, and a son, Chris, 15, enjoys tennis and photography.

Ashley Bateup, Managing Director of 8point3, said Mandy’s appointment emphasised the company’s commitment to its customers.

“We have moved the industry on from supplying simple, cheap and not particularly efficient tubes to replace old fluorescent tubes,” he said. “Our systems are designed to suit each customer’s specific requirements and to directly replace their existing fittings, so we can install them with the minimum disruption to the business.

“We work with our clients on the financial models so each customer knows exactly when their initial capital outlay will be recovered through the savings LED brings.

“Mandy will be ensuring that that commitment to our customers before, during and after installation is at the forefront of our minds at all times.”
