LAW FIRM COMES TO WATLING STREET CANTERBURY

whitehead moncktonMore than one hundred local business people helped Whitehead Monckton to celebrate the opening of the firm’s Canterbury office.

Held at the new premises in Watling Street, the launch party was hosted by a top team of legal experts who will be working in the commercial heart of the city. Guests were treated to canapés from local caterer Mama Feelgoods, a winner in the Taste of Kent Awards, wine from Chapel Down and the Gusbourne Estate, and apple and pear juice from Robert Mitchell’s farm – a client of the firm.

Led by Whitehead Monckton Partner Robert Coombe, the team will feature specialists in a number of fields including commercial and property law, private client work, family law and rural business.

Whitehead Monckton is one of the county’s longest-established law firms and also has offices in Maidstone and Tenterden.

Mr Coombe said: “We have a long history in Kent that we’re very proud of having been established some 230 years ago. We’ve always had a strong commitment to the county, as have our staff who have held numerous positions within the community.

“Our new Canterbury office means we will be better placed to serve the many clients and contacts we already have in East Kent. We are delighted that so many of them were able to join us at what was a fitting celebration of our expansion. Thanks to our prominent new signage nobody got lost along the way!

“Kent is a diverse county and we are committed to serving both its residents and businesses. This office will enable us to broaden our market in Kent and continue to provide an excellent service that is fast, responsive and good value for money.”

Whitehead Monckton, which is one of the largest law firms in Kent, has other offices in Maidstone and Tenterden. It offers legal services to both individual and business clients and also has a Wealth Management team providing an in-house financial planning service.
