Kent designer jeweller Sian Bostwick picked up a commended award at the prestigious Goldsmiths Craftsmanship & Design awards.
Dubbed the Oscars of the jewellery industry the annual Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council Awards took place at the Goldsmiths Hall on March 3, the ceremony awarded 130 prizes for outstanding work across jewellery design, silversmithing and jewellery crafts.
Sian has also been named as a Finalist for Kent Women in Business Awards.
The awards in there second year aim to celebrate the brightest female business stars in Kent and Sian has been short-listed for the Small Business category. The final winners will be announced later this month.
Sian’s literature and fairytale inspired jewellery has gained international recognition for her main enchanted collections inspired by Alice in Wonderland, magical fairy woodlands, 20,000 leagues under the sea and more. There is an ever growing following for her bespoke jewellery creations which include bespoke and unique engagement and wedding rings.
These awards add to the growing list of awards for the Kent jeweller which include being awarded a place on Professional Jewellers HOT 100 list as one of only 17 NEXGEM’s, finalist for the 2010 Clothes Show Young Accessory Designer of the year, twice shortlisted for the Medway design awards and winner of “Gem of a pop up shop” with London Jewellery Week.
