Six popular holiday parks in Kent are giving NHS staff a 10 per cent discount off their holidays as a thank-you for all their hard work during the coronavirus crisis.
The discount was announced by Park Holidays UK as the group’s holiday parks prepare to re-open on 12 April, and is available to 1.3 million NHS workers across the UK.
It can be claimed against any holiday offered by Park Holidays UK, from short breaks to longer stays, and in accommodation ranging from camping pods to super-luxury lodges.
Company director Tony Clish said Park Holidays UK wanted to show its appreciation for the fearless work undertaken on a daily basis by NHS staff at all levels.
“The whole country is grateful for the bravery and resilience shown by these workers, and which has without doubt saved countless lives over the past twelve months. If anybody deserves a break, it’s all the NHS heroes who have made so many personal sacrifices and worked tirelessly to help keep others well and safe. We hope that many will be able to secure time off this year to enjoy a holiday, and perhaps to make up for some of the family time they have lost on our behalf,” added Tony.
The discount can be applied to any holiday being advertised by Park Holidays UK both this year and in 2022, and more than one booking is permitted if wished.
Family holidays in 2021, which start from £98.00 for four nights for up to six people, include free entertainment and use of all the park’s leisure facilities including pools.
Formed 30 years ago, the was recently awarded the 2021 Feefo Gold Trusted Service Award, based on the number of glowing reviews posted by park guests.
To benefit from the 10% discount, NHS staff can choose their holiday online and then book it by telephone with Park Holidays UK, quoting their NHS PIN number and the trust for which they work.
