KENT COUPLE AT HELM OF EUROPEAN SUCCESS STORY

A Kent couple are thrilled to have launched their very first business together in the heart of their home county.

Katie Vine and Dean Cowell have taken over premises in Dartford’s Victory Way to directly sell high-quality products from German appliance maker Vorwerk.

The dynamic duo has ambitious plans to create new roles in the area too – and have been signing up a team of super sales advisors in the run-up to their branch unveiling which was officially opened on June 26.

“It’s a really exciting time for the business and we can’t wait make to it a success. We’ve spent recent months getting everything organised, spreading the word about what we do, and offering demonstrations of Vorwerk’s products to residents,” said 41-year-old Katie.

“We’ve had a very positive response from people and we’re looking forward to keeping that momentum going and having a really good first year in business and beyond.

“We’re really passionate about creating new roles in the region and, with a company like Vorwerk, it means people of all ages and all communities can join us on a full or part-time basis.  The hours are flexible, they get to meet people, and they can even do their sales advisor role to support their regular incomes.

“We’ve had a lot of interest in the area to join us and have advisors on-board from Gravesend and Maidstone so we’re really excited about that.”

As Katie takes on the day-to-day running of the office, Dean and his team will be out across the counties of Kent, Essex and Sussex to demonstrate and sell Vorwerk’s range of top-quality products – which include the Kobold VK200 Homecare System that mops and vacuums, to cut cleaning time in half, and the VR200 Robot Vacuum Cleaner.

Combining German engineering, expertise, and ingenuity, Vorwerk has the products needed to keep the modern home clean, hygienic, and ready for everything that life throws at it. Already found in millions of European homes, its lead vacuum cleaner, the VK200, is a high-tech solution to deep-clean carpets, hard floors, curtains, and mattresses.

The branch opening marks a return to full-time work for Katie after the proud mum took time away from her career to care for her children. The couple, who live in Gravesend, have six children between them aged 11 to 24.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge. I love being in a business setting, and running my own branch is something I’ve always wanted to do – and it’s even better that it’s alongside my partner. The flexibility of the job allows us to still be around for the children too,” she said.

Dean, 50, has plenty of business expertise too – having run a successful building company for 15 years and previously working for Vorwerk back in the early 1990s.

“We want Vorwerk to become an established brand in this area, we want people across the South East to really embrace the products and see how amazing they all are. It’s a company that we’re very proud to represent,” Katie added.

“We really hope the people of Dartford enjoy having us here and help us flourish as a local business.”
