Kent Businesses Join Forces To Engineer The Future Together

Kent engineering businesses, Evans & Langford and the RB Plant Group have joined forces to offer clients significantly enhanced resources, providing greater performance and productivity, and fostering the development of staff skillsets.

Evans & Langford have been acquired by the Maidstone-based RB Plant Group with this exciting development being a natural progression from a close collaboration on several large, prestigious projects in recent years including a new paper machine for Wepa in South Wales, and new process facilities for Thermofisher in Loughborough.

Evans & Langford Director Simon Robertson said, “After 60 years in business, the Evans & Langford team are looking forward to engineering the future with RB Plant. This is an important and very positive outcome of a fruitful existing relationship where there is great synergy and cultural fit between the two companies. As we move forward as part of a larger multi-disciplinary group, we will be able to offer a wider range of services to our clients at every stage, from the initial survey and geo-environmental investigations through to the concept and all design and construction stages. Alongside this transition, we are delighted to also announce that our new website is now live.”

RB Plant Group Chairman Geoff Raisbeck added, “The owners and shareholders of RB Plant Group are delighted to welcome Evans & Langford into the well-established RB Group of companies. Representing a significant addition to the group, it further provides clients with a broader resource and engineering discipline base for the enhanced delivery of projects. We are looking forward to a successful and long-term partnership with Evans & Langford Consultants.”

As of April 2023, Evans & Langford will trade as Evans & Langford Consultants Limited but operationally, the business will continue as usual, with Simon Robertson and Colin Shackleford becoming Directors. Apart from the new Lenham office address, all contact details will remain the same, and the current team will remain and look forward to continuing to work with clients.
