Three financial professionals from Kent are celebrating success in the International Association of Book-keepers (IAB) Finance and Small Business Awards.
Amanda Taylor, who runs AT Accountants of Whitstable, has been named Bookkeeper of the Year, with Gary Richards, owner of TaxAssist Accountants, which has offices in Larkfield and Paddock Wood, taking the Accountant of the Year award.
Chris Banfield, owner of CB Accounting Solutions of Chatham was runner-up in the Accountant of the Year category.
Speaking after receiving her award, Amanda Taylor said: “I’m really excited and honoured to have received this award and I’m hoping to use this to go on to bigger and better things.”
Gary Richards commented: “As an accountant, it is tremendous to be recognised by the body representing bookkeepers as they are a group of professionals we work so closely with.”
Amanda and Gary received their awards at a presentation evening at The Gherkin in London on Monday evening (May 19).
“These awards celebrate the achievements of those who attain the highest standards in bookkeeping and accountancy on behalf of their clients,” said Malcolm Trotter, Chief Executive of the IAB.
“Open to members and non-members of the IAB, Amanda and Gary have emerged as the very best from among the many thousands of their peers from all over the UK, and they deserve our congratulations.”
