DSH MAKES ANOTHER NEW APPOINTMENT

DSH Accountants KentDSH Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors of Maidstone is delighted to announce the appointment of Kursat Osman as their new Head of VAT and Indirect Taxes.

Kursat is an AIIT CTA qualified VAT practitioner, with seven years experience in the field.

During his career, he has tackled both advisory and compliance work on behalf of a diverse range of clients, across a number of areas including manufacturing, electronic services, imports and exports, land and property, retail, insurance, and financial services.

With experience gained wholly in international practice, Kursat has built a particular specialism in international VAT matters and supply chains, working with a range of VAT regimes across Europe.

He has broad experience of VAT advisory work in numerous areas, and also advises on certain Customs matters, for example dealing with classification issues and suspensive regimes for imports.

Kursat sees VAT as a growth area with more and more businesses realising the importance of getting their VAT affairs right.

He said: “In line with this, I hope to grow the VAT offering at DSH, with advisory and compliance services complemented by regular training and seminars for clients.”

Kursat lives in Canterbury with his partner Sarah, and 10 month old baby Oscar. He has promised himself that, as soon as Oscar manages to sleep soundly through the night, he will try to find the energy to play his beloved saxophone again. Until then, it will continue to collect dust in the attic!
