East-Malling-TrustProof positive news about the upturn has emerged from East Malling Trust, after it announced 90 per cent of the commercial property space on its estate, near Maidstone, is now occupied.

Working with the team at Smiths Gore, based at nearby Kings Hill, the Trust’s property portfolio of 43,000ft2 of commercial offices in the parkland estate has welcomed two new arrivals: AIMS Accountancy and Premier Choice Solutions.

Hamish Mayhew, of Premier Choice Solutions, said: “We’ve hit the ground running since arriving and our new offices provide everything we need as a place to grow our business.”

AIMS Accountancy, part of a network of 240 accountants across the county, has relocated the team of its Maidstone town centre office to East Malling

Adrian Padfield, Chief Executive of East Malling Trust, said: “Achieving 90 per cent in the current economy is proof positive that we have a great deal to offer smaller companies looking to serve their clients in Kent and beyond. Across the estate there’s a real sense of community and emerging optimism.”

The successful operation of the Trust’s property portfolio, alongside its well-established conference centre, cafe and Bradbourne House, enables it to remain the UK’s largest independent funder of horticultural research and support the important work of the scientists at East Malling Research.

The newly refurbished 2,323ft2 Tithe Barn, a 1,000ft2 office in Waterside suite and a small number of individual rooms in the business centre are currently available.
