James Millis is celebrating being made a partner at Brachers, one of the largest law firms in Kent. James, who has been with the firm for ten years, is a solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team, specialising in property disputes and licensing matters.
James qualified as a solicitor in 1999 after reading law at Southampton Solent University and completing his Legal Practice at The University of Westminster.
He joined Brachers in 2002 as an assistant solicitor before progressing into his specialist area, Commercial Property Disputes. James also has experience in a range of litigation areas including general contract, disputed wills, debt recovery, insolvency and consumer law.
Highly experienced James attained his post-graduate diploma in Advanced Litigation whilst with the firm and is a member of The Property Litigation Association.
James was made Partner in November 2012. He said: “I am delighted to become a partner at Brachers having joined as a junior solicitor and developed with the firm. I am looking forward to continuing the development of our Property Dispute expertise and raising the profile of our strong team.”
James is married with a four year-old daughter. He is an active member of the Petts Wood Operatic Society and a keen follower of Formula 1 motorsport.
