Belmont Healthcare Acquires Three Homes from Four Seasons Healthcare Group

Belmont

The acquisition forms part of Belmont Healthcare’s ongoing growth strategy to acquire trading homes across the South East and Midlands, where it can add value to those homes through investment in technology and improved facilities.

Three homes from the Four Seasons Group join Belmont, including Copper Beeches Care Home in Rochester and Woodbury House Care Home and Murdoch House Care Home in Berkshire. The acquisition will increase Belmont’s portfolio to seven homes across the South East, add 97 beds across the group, build on the group’s capabilities in nursing care, and strengthen its residential dementia services.

As part of the onboarding process, all three homes acquired will be rebranded to Belmont Healthcare, and their infrastructure will be transitioned to digitise operations and build on the quality of care delivered to all residents and their families. This will include utilising Belmont’s digital patient records, medical system, online staffing systems, payroll, and employee support resources.

There is no impact on any employees within the homes acquired, and all members of staff will transfer over to become employees of Belmont Healthcare Services Limited.

James Clamp and Phil Baigant from law firm Freeths LLP, Benjamin Eley from BR Accountants, and Jonathan Thompson and John Anderson from brokers AT Finance, advised on the deal.

Adam Hutchison, Managing Director of Belmont Healthcare, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the residents, families, and care teams at Copper Beeches, Woodbury House, and Murdoch House to the group. The quality of care and commitment that all three homes provide to their residents is exceptional, and so this was a great fit for our business and ethos at Belmont. The acquisition represents another exciting step in our growth journey and one that sees our business increase its footprint across the South East. We are already working with the care teams across all homes to transition them over to our operating model as well as exploring plans to invest in improved and new facilities to enhance the care that is delivered to every resident and their families.”
