Following the recent departure of their former Chief Executive, Cedric Frederick, Avante Partnership have appointed Mark Lloyd, as the interim Managing Director of Avante Partnership.
Peter Smallridge, Chairman of the Board of Avante, commented; “We are delighted Mark has accepted this opportunity to lead Avante, given his wealth of senior management experience in social care. Mark who recently joined Avante as our Chief Operating Officer has, in a short time, delivered excellent improvements and results in the delivery of our care services.
Previously Mark has been Managing Director of Ashley Homes (now part of Sanctuary Care) and Essex Cares Limited and he has led major transformation programmes for various Councils.
As Managing Director, Mark will look to work closely with our local authority commissioning partners and other key stakeholders in delivering robust and quality services which are responsive to service user and family needs. Avante is committed to the continued delivery of registered and domiciliary care services as well as specialist services through Stepahead for young people and their families.”
Peter continued to say; “The organisation is making changes to its management and governance as it strives to address the key issues facing the care industry in Kent and in London. Cedric Frederick, the Chief Executive, is leaving to explore new opportunities to further his career and Avante will now take the opportunity to restructure its management, concentrating on its core business to deliver high standards whilst saving costs.
Avante Partnership is extremely conscious of the need to sustain and ensure best value outcomes through continuous improvement of services in an increasingly testing commercial world for care providers. We are pleased at the support we have received from service users and their families and from our commissioners over the years and hope that this will continue whilst we make the necessary changes.
We are grateful to Cedric for his leadership and the contribution he has made to our development over the past 5 years and we wish him well in his future career.”
Mark commented; “I am really pleased and delighted to have this opportunity to lead Avante in a way that will ensure imaginative and excellent outcomes are achieved for all our services users. I am pleased that we are now building on good CQC regulatory reports for all our regulated services and have just been chosen as a partner provider for Kent County Council in the delivery of home care services across the county.”
