Frozen fruit and vegetable specialist Ardo UK has received a top award in recognition of its outstanding health and safety record.
The Charing-based business was presented with The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents’ (RoSPA) Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety, given to companies that demonstrate excellent management systems, a rigorous approach to occupational health and below average and reducing accident rates.
Ardo’s latest figures show that total accidents fell by 41 per cent between 2011 and 2012, and by 53 per cent in total from 2007’s figures.
