One of Kent’s most senior lawyers and best-known businesswomen has brought her expertise to law firm Cripps.
Vanda James has a national reputation for her matrimonial work and a top tier ranking in Chambers, a leading guide to the legal profession. She has joined Cripps’ family team.
Cripps lead partner for high net worth and affluent clients Myles McIntosh said: “Vanda is an experienced lawyer with an excellent reputation for her work in assisting wealthy individuals with complex family matters.
“She is well-known both regionally and in London and is exactly the kind of high calibre person Cripps is looking to attract. She will be a valuable addition to our private client team, in particular our family practice, and to Cripps as a whole.
“As our business continues to grow, we are always on the look out to recruit the very best people to join our award-winning teams.”
Vanda has lived and worked in Kent since the early 1990s, having previously practised in London. She has held senior positions at other firms heading up their family teams.
Her experience includes all aspects of separation and divorce often involving significant pensions, business interests and offshore assets. Vanda also specialises in cases with an international element and regularly advises clients on issues such as pre- or post-nuptial arrangements.
“I am delighted to have joined Cripps as it has a well-deserved reputation for providing an excellent service to its clients,” said Vanda.
“I am looking forward to adding my knowledge, experience and contacts to those of the existing team and further strengthening the support we can offer to people facing complex legal situations in their personal life.”
A former President of Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & District Law Society in 2011, Vanda is currently the Hon Treasurer for Kent Law Society. A trained collaborative lawyer, she is a great believer in settling cases outside of court whenever possible. Married with a grown up daughter, she is an active athlete.
