Megger, a global leader in electrical test and measurement equipment, is proud to announce a significant step forward in its collaboration with EKC Dover College, highlighting its dedication to fostering local talent and supporting industry-relevant education.
On 25th June, Megger will officially donate four state-of-the-art MFT-X1 multifunction testers, along with college posters and other essential electrical equipment, to the college’s electrical training department. This presentation, led by Damon Mount and his team, will take place at Megger, Dover, marking an exciting moment for the local community and the future of engineering education.
This milestone builds on a successful collaboration between Megger and EKC Dover College. Over the past few years, Megger representatives have worked closely with the college’s engineering department to evaluate course content, facilities, and the needs of the electrical industry. These efforts have encouraged collective engagement with other industries, culminating in the creation of working groups to further align educational programmes with industry expectations.
Megger has long demonstrated its commitment to the professional growth of aspiring engineers. From hosting T Level students for work experience engagements ranging from 40 to 315-hour sessions, to employing apprentices supported by EKC’s academic training, the company has created pathways for young people to seamlessly transition into engineering careers. Notably, one apprentice has successfully completed their programme and is now a full-time member of Megger’s Service and Repair team.
