ITALIAN WINE IMPORTER LAUNCHES DOORSTEP DELIVERIES

Vinissimo

One of the UK’s leading importers of Italian wine has launched a home delivery service to offer wine lovers access to the country’s finest wines at affordable prices.

Westerham-based, family firm Vinissimo specialises in supplying small Italian restaurants across the South East.  It now wants people to be able to enjoy their fine wines at home.

The company prides itself on its relationship with growers across Italy and 90 percent of the wine on offer to UK customers is exclusive to Vinissimo.

Director Paul Santoro explains: “We only sell only the best quality wines and take real care of our suppliers. Our relationship with our wineries is so close that we are like friends and family and many only sell through us to the UK market.

“We are one of the few companies that specialises exclusively in Italian wines, along with Italian spirits and coffee. Because of this we have huge expertise and a wide range and can help you choose from our 60 different producers in 17 regions.”

Delivery is free within the M25 and within a 20 mile radius of Westerham using Vinissimo’s own delivery vans. There is a minimum order of 12 bottles.

Customers living more than 20 miles away and outside the M25 will be quoted a delivery charge at the time of order. This will depend on the size and value of the order. Delivery will be by courier and the minimum order is six bottles.

For people living near Westerham, Kent, wine and spirits can be pre-ordered and collected from the premises at Unit 8, Churchill Business Park, Hortons Ways, Westerham Kent, TN16 1BT.

The huge range of Italian wines include those from Azienda Agricola Ca Maiol in Lugana. A particular favourite is the Molin Vigneti Storici Lugana DOP  and Chiaretto Valtenesi Roseri Doc – both are highly recommended for summer drinking.

For people looking for Italian spirits to sip in the sun, the Vinissimo experts recommend Amara Amaro di “Arancia rossa di Sicilia IGP” For gin lovers, the hand-crafted, beautifully presented Aqvaluce Dry Gin is a firm favourite with its 12 different herbs and spices. Another dry gin that connoisseurs will enjoy is the Kapriol Dry Gin which, mixed with lime and grapefruit, is extremely refreshing and satisfying.

Paul said: “Our list covers all the main wine producing regions of Italy. Having known our producers for many years we are very confident about the wines that we offer.”
