Manston Airport will be welcoming the public next month for its annual Holiday Show.
The free family event, which takes place on Saturday, March 2, marks exactly one month until the first flight to Amsterdam takes off from Manston.
Operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the twice daily flights to Schiphol Airport will connect passengers to 190 destinations worldwide. Representatives from KLM will be at the Show to offer expert advice on the flights and destinations available.
Staff from Newmarket Holidays, which offers direct flights from Manston to Italy, Austria and Portugal, will also be available to provide help to customers looking to book a European getaway. Additionally, onsite travel agent Sunpex Travel will be assisting holidaymakers looking for KLM flights and package holidays around the world.
As well as the opportunity to take advice on and book a huge variety of business and holiday destinations, there will plenty of family fun on offer including a clown and face painting competitions, designed to cater for even the youngest potential pilot.
Charles Buchanan, Chief Executive of Manston Airport, said:
“This is always a great event for the community and this year it is even more exciting with the imminent arrival of daily passenger flights to and from Amsterdam.
“We hope people will come along and support their local airport; find out how easy it is to get here; how close to the terminal the car park is; and experience the friendliness that makes using Manston such a pleasant experience.”
The Thanet Air Show at Manston Airport, which is returning for the first time since 1996, will be officially launched at the Holiday Show.
The Holiday Show takes place on Saturday, March 2 from 10am to 4pm. Car parking and entry into the event is free all day.
