Heathfield Based Logistics Firm Invests In Team To Grow Business

A Heathfield-based logistics firm has appointed Marc Ansell as new business development manager to grow its business in Kent and East Sussex. Independent Logistics Solutions (ILS) Limited is a member of Palletways UK’s express palletised freight network.

Marc brings with him 15 years of sector experience having worked for a range of pallet networked businesses, most recently joining from Pallet Track. Marc will support its senior management team in growing the business which has a diverse customer base from single traders to multinational businesses.

Commenting on his appointment Marc, said: “ILS is a member of Palletways, a respected name in the logistics industry, and I’m delighted to be on board. I’m keen to further develop our customer base, provide excellent service to customers and grow the order book. I’m looking forward to being a part of ILS’ journey which will see us becoming stronger and more prominent locally.”

ILS was founded in 2013, employs 35 people and is a member of the RHA and FTA. It’s grown to provide same-day courier and general haulage/storage services to a variety of local customers, delivering items from bricks, office stationery and garden furniture to fresh eggs.  

ILS is one of over 120 independent transport providers that are part of the Palletways UK network, belonging to Imperial, a DP World company. They benefit from shared expertise and resources from within the group to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost-effectively than ever before.
