DSH Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors have appointed Martin Dane as their Head of VAT and Indirect Taxes.
Martin has more than 35 years of VAT and indirect tax experience, gained initially with HM Revenue & Customs and latterly in private practice. Martin, who lives in Sidcup, said he was looking forward to utilising his extensive VAT and indirect tax knowledge to provide the best advice available to DSH’s wide range of clients.
“Although VAT is essentially a very simple tax, in reality, its application increasingly causes a range of issues and business owners need more help than ever,” he said.
“I have long been impressed by DSH’s specialist and tailored accountancy and business advisory services. I intend to continue this trend by delivering innovative yet practical VAT and indirect tax advice together with all the follow-up support necessary to achieve the desired objectives of each client; be they SMEs, entrepreneurs, multinationals, private clients, charities or not-for-profit bodies.”
Glen Thomas, Tax Partner at DSH, said:
“We are very pleased to have added Martin to our team. VAT continues to be one of our business clients’ biggest concerns, and with the Government pushing HM Revenue and Customs to recover as much tax as possible, it is more important than ever to get quality advice in all areas of tax. Martin’s wealth of experience from having previously worked for Big Four and Mid-Tier accounting firms will ensure we are able to continue to provide our clients with the level of expertise, service and professionalism they have come to expect.”
