East Kent based science and technology park Discovery Park has become the latest patron of Turner Contemporary in Margate.
The relationship with the world class gallery will be an extension of Discovery Park work in the East Kent community, enabling it to support the area’s regeneration and forge new associations.
Kimberley Anderson, Corporate Relations Manager at Discovery Park, said: “Turner Contemporary also has a fantastic reputation for its efforts to regenerate the East Kent area, an ambition it shares with us here at Discovery Park. We hope to be able to collaborate with the gallery in a number of ways, particularly by supporting their work with local schools and other education centres and perhaps even host some art work on site for our tenants, staff and visitors to enjoy.”
Claire Millet, Head of Development from Turner Contemporary said: “We are delighted to welcome Discovery Park as a corporate patron to Turner Contemporary and we look forward to building our relationship with them over the coming months.
“Our patron scheme is an integral part of our fundraising initiative, contributing towards Turner Contemporary’s core funding which supports our learning and outreach programme and ensures the gallery remains free for everyone to access great art.”
