ASB LAW WINS A PLACE ON BT’S LEGAL PANEL

ASB-LAW-LOGOInnovative legal and consultancy firm, asb law LLP, is delighted to confirm our appointment to British Telecommunications plc’s network of preferred legal service providers.

asb law has been selected to provide litigation support to BT alongside a roster of 36 other law firms including regional, national and magic circle firms.

The new network, which will run for three years until April 2020, was overseen by Director, Equality of Access Office & COO, Jon Furmston and Central Operations Head of Suppliers and Systems, Keith Thomson.

Keith Thomson said BT looked for a number of different selling points from its law firms, including innovation and diversity.

“We’ve been concentrating on diversity and innovation, both on the legal and technical side,” he said.

“But we’ve also been interested in how much legal project management has come to the surface – for the first time in some cases.”

Thrilled with the firm’s success, Andrew Clinton, Managing Partner, commented, “BT’s legal team is leading the way in innovating legal services. They have a strong reputation for practising what they preach, seeking out efficiencies and applying innovative methodologies that align legal with the strategic objectives of the business. This philosophy resonates with everything we have been working towards at asb law over the past three years, so it makes us especially proud to have been appointed by a like-minded, progressive group of legal professionals.”

Over the last few years, asb law has been applying creative techniques and methodologies in delivering legal services that are genuinely suited to client need. The firm is breaking with convention in a bid to find better ways to deliver legal services. It has transformed its operations from a traditional model, in which everything revolves around the tyranny of chargeable inputs and a short-term culture, to one that is truly client-centric, in which services are designed around the current and future needs of its target clients. The priorities that the firm sets and measures are centred on maximising the value it can create for clients.

asb law’s determination to work more effectively is deep-rooted, as is its commitment to innovation, which has been recognised recently by a number of industry commentators through various nominations including the Solicitors Journal Awards, the Managing Partner Forum Awards and a placing in the Financial Times Top 50 Most Innovative Law Firms in Europe 2016.
