Andrew-Masters-Furley-Page

Business leaders and HR professionals can gain valuable insights into the latest changes in employment law when a popular series of breakfast workshops returns to Kent in May.

Leading Kent law firm Furley Page will once again host the workshops, in partnership with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce. The sessions are open to Chamber members and non-members alike, whatever the size of their workforce.

The first workshop, which will deliver an Employment Law Update for 2019, will take place on Thursday 2 May at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel.

The workshop will provide the latest updates on a range of employment law topics, including recent developments in employment law and the likely impact on businesses, practical guidance on how to prepare for forthcoming changes, key dates for employment law reform and the potential effects on HR policies.

A further workshop on Investigating Discipline and Grievances in the Workplace will follow on Thursday 16 May.

Andrew Masters, Partner and Head of Employment, at Furley Page, leads the employment law workshops. He said: “Employment is a complex and ever-changing area of the law, so it is very important that employers and HR professionals keep up to date with the latest developments.

“As well as practical guidance, there will be question and answer sessions so there’s plenty of opportunity for delegates to raise specific areas of concern. These annual workshops are very well attended, and delegates are urged to book now to secure their place.”

Furley Page’s expertise in Employment Law is recommended by the independent legal guides Chambers UK and The Legal 500.

Registration is from 8am, starting at 8.30am and finishing at noon. Kent Invicta Chamber members receive a discounted rate of £75 (inc. VAT), while the costs for non-members are £95. Bacon rolls (or vegetarian option) and tea and coffee will be served. Call the booking hotline on 01233 503838 or to book online visit:

Please note that the Furley Page sessions are not open to delegates from other law firms and independent HR advisers. For more information about Furley Page visit www.furleypage.co.uk or call 01227 763939. You can also follow the firm on Twitter @furleypage and on LinkedIn.
