Lord Digby Jones & Wayne Hemingway confirmed to speak at Construction Expo 2015
The South East’s construction opportunities continue to attract global interest, and Construction Expo 2015, developed by the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, will once again be at the heart of the region’s industry. Attendances at the 2014 event included those from some of the very largest main contracting and house-building firms. Consulting and building design professionals were also well represented, with attendance from many key practices including 3DReid.
The Expo, sponsored, for the 2nd year, by Lee Evans Partnership, has developed into the largest gathering of construction professionals in the South of England, offering exhibitors and delegates the opportunity to network, creating new business relationships as well as hear from industry leaders such as Lord Jones and Wayne Hemingway.
Lord Digby Jones keynote speaker
Former Minister of State for UK Trade & Investment and renowned business figure Lord Digby Jones will be hosting the keynote at the Construction Expo at the Kent Event Centre on October 7th. With vast experience that includes Director General of the CBI and advisory positions with some of the largest businesses in the UK, Lord Jones is known for his forthright manner – offering British business candid advice on moving forward. He continues to promote British business across the world – travelling to over 30 countries in the process alongside his role as a cross bencher in the House of Lords. Lord Jones will bring his straightforward business sense to the Expo.
Hemingway Designs reimagines Dreamland
Hemingway Design has diversified into a multidisciplinary team working across a range of sectors including landscape planning, interiors, housing regeneration, products and exhibitions. Working with some of the largest household names the team has worked on projects as diverse as redesigning uniforms for MacDonald’s and Transport for London to working on the interiors of the Institute of Director’s and the Olympic Athletes Village. As chairman of the South Coast Design Forum and also chair for the UK standard for well designed home, Building for Life, Wayne Hemingway is perfectly positioned to talk to the Expo audience. He has taken a keen interest in the regeneration projects across the UK and one of their latest projects is especially relevant to the county – the reimagining of Dreamland, an £18 million restoration of the now derelict Dreamland theme park in Margate.

Alongside these two icons will be a full conference programme featuring speakers with specialist industry and project knowledge, including an update on the progress of the Paramount Resort Project at Swanscombe.
