Kent Science Park based NorthWise Services (NWS) is partnering with Merge Healthcare to collect, manage and report on clinical trials data across all studies it handles. NWS already offers data management, statistics and medical writing, and these will be complemented by Merge’s existing clinical systems.
Established in 2001, NWS provides sophisticated, high-level support in the specialised area of clinical trials within the pharmaceutical industry sector, as well as offering data management and reporting help to any sized organisation, in any sector.
Philip North spoke about the partnership with Merge and what it meant for NWS:
“We already provide a number of services to the pharmaceutical sector, including data management, statistics, medical writing and staff recruitment. This partnership with Merge Healthcare is another string to our bow, allowing us to offer a wide range of eClinical functions through a single portal.”
James Speck, Site Director for Kent Science Park also commented on NorthWise Services:
“Philip and his team are prime examples of a business that can develop and adapt to the changing business landscape. This new partnership with Merge highlights how they are continually able to diversify their services. Additionally to this, they have created a compelling offer for businesses that collect and use data but don’t have the time or skills to turn that data into useable, presentable information.”
The data services available through NWS often involve helping to develop the most effective and efficient use of spreadsheets or the building of a suitable database in which to deposit information. Philip said:
“NWS has the appropriate skills to be able to show our clients what information is available in the data that has been collected. NWS can interpret the data and show what story it is telling us. To do this might require some basic or complex analysis of the data. NWS is able to do this. No problem is too simple or too basic for NWS to be willing and able to solve it for a client.”
